About CEESME

Join us for the Central and Eastern Europe Symposium on Microbial Ecology (CEESME) from September 12-15, 2023 in Budapest, Hungary!

The conference aims to bring together microbial ecologists working in institutes of Central and Eastern Europe, including the Baltic to Balkan regions and Northwestern Asia, as well as researchers willing to cooperate with institutes in the region. The meeting will cover various topics in microbial ecology, including aquatic microbial ecology, extreme environments, microbial ecology of the soil, microbial interactions and cooperation within the region.

Thanks to the support of the International Society for Microbial Ecology (ISME) and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, attendance to the meeting is free. However, registration is required between April 3 and 30 due to limited capacity.

The conference will focus on promoting early career researchers (ECRs) and will include a workshop on publication and career development. The conference will feature plenary lectures, scientific talks, and a poster session, and pre-registered participants can also enjoy microbial ecology-themed sightseeing post-conference tours.

Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to learn, share ideas, and connect with colleagues from the region and beyond!
